The Grand Ole Opry is planning a big birthday celebration for its 88th birthday this weekend.
Mark Wills, Crystal Gayle, Kathy Mattea and Kristen Kelly hit the stage for an all-star Friday night performance. On Saturday, Tate Stevens headlines a free show at the Opry Plaza with additional sets byBlue Mother Tupelo, Erin Enderlin and Sarah Haze. Steve Wariner headlines the official Birthday Concertthat afternoon. The Opry will also host a silent auction with proceeds benefiting the Opry Trust Fund.
In support of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, LeAnn Rimes will headline the fifth annual Opry Goes Pinkshow on October 22nd. The night will include performances by Lorrie Morgan and Pam Tillis, Natalie Grantand American Idol alum Mandisa. The Opry will donate $5 to Women Rock for the Cure for every ticket sold for the show. The non-profit supports an annual Young Survivors retreat for young women diagnosed with breast cancer.
