Keith Urban was invited to become a member of the Grand Ole Opry last night during the We're All For the Hall benefit concert in Nashville. The invitation was made by the newest Opry members Rascal Flatts. Keith will officially inducted on April 21st.The night was full of surprises, including an unannounced appearances by Don Williams

 and Merle Haggard.

Keith Urban surprised his fan club by throwing a special breakfast for them yesterday morning at Nashville's Country Music Hall of Fame. The fans were told that Keith wouldn't be there, but after a taped introduction, he appeared. Keith spent the morning taking requests and giving away prizes, including meet-and-greet passes to last night's We're All for the Hall concert benefiting the Country Music Hall of Fame

 and Museum.

 Alan Jackson will release his new album, Thirty Miles West, on June 5th.He tells us he's sticking to a winning formula. Alan says, "I just try to find the best songs and I try to write stuff." The album title, Thirty Miles West, comes from the Dixie Highway that runs from Michigan to South Florida and right past his Newnan, Georgia home.

 

CMA Music Festival will begin selling single-night tickets on Saturday for shows at Nashville's LP Field. The tickets are general admission in the upper deck and sell for $40 plus handling fees through Ticketmaster or CMAFest.com. Whitney Houston's troubled daughter Bobbi Kristina is set to face reality or at least the reality TV cameras. Radar Online is reporting that Bobbi Kristina has made a verbal agreement to let her life be chronicled on TV, despite the fact that her family and closest friends have urged her not to.

 

Despite reports in both tabloids and publishing industry trades, LeAnn Rimes won't be writing a tell-all about her relationship with Eddie Cibrian, leaving the field wide open for Brandi Glanville. LeAnn took to her Twitter account on Monday night to write, "So you all know, I'm blonde and there's no 'tell all' book about divorce, marriage and 'my side.' I just laugh at [all] of this!"

 

 Ricki Lake got hitched over the weekend, and to make the nuptials a little more intimate, she and her new hubby decided to run off and do it in private. Ricki and longtime beau Christian Evans didn't release much info, even after the fact, simply revealing they tied the knot in a small ceremony in Southern California. She tells People magazine, "It was a beautiful moment I will never forget. I wasn't anxious or nervous. I was really relaxed and excited."

Now this is a good reason why you want to pay attention at all times. I’m pretty sure that I would have this same reaction if I was texting and looked up to see a bear.
