It's been 13 years since Eric Harris and Dylan Klebold opened fire and terrorized their high school killing  students and teacher. For some victims it feels as though the tragedy happened yesterday, for some like Dylan Klebold's mom it is just a huge nightmare that will never go away. When Columbine first happened, many people needed to put blame on someone and since the motives behind the attacks were not fully known they placed the blame on Dylan and Eric's home life first. Their parents were left with so many questions and confusion as to why their sons became monsters. Neither set of parents were very vocal after the attacks but have now decided to stop the silence and explain how they feel. Dylan's mom making the most shocking comment saying "I had a sudden vision of what he might be doing. And so while every other mother in Littleton was praying that her child was safe, I had to pray that mine would die before he hurt anyone else." She says she wish she could have understood how bad Dylan was feeling so she could help him and possibly prevent this tragedy. All of these thoughts and more are being published in a new book about atypical children called Far From the Tree, by Andrew Solomon.
