Dierks Bentley recently previewed his upcoming album "Riser" to music journalists in Nashville. Bentley called the album "heavier and darker...but also fun to listen to." In the preview event, Bentley played 8 of the album's 11 tracks.
The first single "Bourbon in Kentucky" is an example of the dark songs Bentley referred to. Other highlights on the album include the humorous "Drunk On A Plane" and "I Hold On", which references his father's passing. The album is due to be released in October, and was produced by Ross Copperman and Nashville vet Arthur Buenahora.
