Last night in Las Vegas one lucky lady beat 51 other beauty queens in the Miss USA Contest.

Miss Connecticut, Erin Brady, a 25-year old accountant from South Glastonbury was announced the winner after answering a question about the U.S. Supreme Court's decision upholding widespread DNA tests.

After winning, Miss USA was asked what her short term plans are and to no surprise her response was “to catch up on sleep and hit the gym.” As for long term, Miss USA hopes to help families affected by alcohol and drug abuse.

Yesterday President Obama spent Father's Day in North Bethesda, MD at his daughter Sasha's dance recital. Sasha's recital was at the Music Center at Strathmore.

That night the family flew to Northern Ireland, where Obama is scheduled to attend the G8 Summit in Belfast.
